The Estate
Hidden among coconut palms and jackfruit trees, Indian Summer House was built from scratch by local artisans in the traditional Kerala planter's style — house and garden alike designed by the late Made Wijaya, the legendary landscape architect behind the Bali Hyatt, David Bowie's home in Mustique and gardens across Asia. Rosewood, clay tile and hand-poured oxide floors open, generously, to the green on every side.
The family's original ancestral home still stands in the grounds, lovingly restored: the house one of the owners was born in, and a place you can stay too. Verandas wrap it all; carved temple guardians watch from the greenery.

The Pool & Gardens
A generous private pool sits in a clearing of palms, with a shaded pavilion for long afternoons, checked cotton towels rolled and waiting, and loungers under the trees.
The garden around it is named for Made Wijaya himself, in tribute to the designer who dreamed the whole estate. By evening the great open-sided hall becomes the heart of the house: lamplit dinners, music, and the sound of the garden.
